The new owners of Rogue Klamath River Adventures bring a passion for fun, the outdoors and adventure to their newest endeavor. Dedicated to continuing the high level of customer service that has given RKRA such an excellent reputation over the years, they look forward to providing you with an outstanding river experience.

Rich began his paddling career canoe tripping as a teenager in North Carolina, soon moving to kayaks and rafts. In the 30+ years since, he has paddled multiple waterways throughout the United States. Rich's professional experience reflects his love of people, travel and the outdoors: raft & wilderness guide, wildland firefighter, EMT, logger, ski groomer, soldier, and instructor. Full of laughter and area knowledge, Rich makes your trip his most important one.

Barb fell in love with rivers courtesy of an Outward Bound trip in high school where she canoed the Chattooga River. She had first rafted as a child with her family at Ohiopyle, PA, but it wasn't until she met Rich that she truly got the bug. In between rivers, she has amassed extensive sales and marketing experience which she brings to her new job with Rogue Klamath River Adventures. Being a mom helps her to anticipate the type of experience families want from a company such as ours, and she makes sure your family's trip is full of wonderful memories.

Devoted paddlers might recognize Savannah from her long-time position as feature photo on the American Canoe Association website. The Patagonia-clad one year old was attending the 1998 U.S. Whitewater Nationals as a spectator; she hopes to one day return as a competitor. Both a rafter and a kayaker, Savannah brings sunshine and song to our trips. Watch her grow with us over the years.

A pioneer of commercial rafting on the Rogue and Klamath Rivers, the founder of Rogue Klamath River Adventures and a guide instructor for more than thirty years, Willie Jo epitomizes the caliber and experience of our guide team. When new owners took the reins, Willie Jo indicated that he would like to retire: "I want to spend quality time on the river. I want to go fishing. I want to share my knowledge of river craft with young people." When we pointed out that was the job description of our Operations Manager position, he could hardly say no.
