![]() River GuidesOur river guides are truly the pride of Rogue Klamath River Adventures. Every guide has extensive expertise rowing the rapids of the rivers we run (Rogue, Klamath, Cal Salmon, Smith, Scott & Owyhee Rivers), as well as knowledge of area history and folklore. They will gladly share with you stories of the Rogue Indian wars, how Topsy Grade got it's name, who "One-Eyed Jack" was, and why he's got a rapid named after him. Our guides have a keen eye for the nests and hiding places of wildlife - you're almost certain to see bald eagles, river turtles, deer and maybe even an otter or two. All our guides must have First-Aid and CPR certification. In addition, most are Swift-Water Rescue Certified and have Wilderness First Responder Certificates as well as Oregon Food Handler Permits. Each guide is fully trained on the rivers they run, and must demonstrate proficiency among their peers before a single passenger is assigned to them. Your safety and comfort are their first priority.
