Want to experience something new, or add even more excitement to your river trip? Have Rogue Klamath River Adventures let you try America’s hottest adventure sport – inflatable kayaking!

Rogue Klamath River Adventures is proud of its fleet of fun, easy to use Inflatable Kayaks (IKs) and offers customers several different options for experiencing these sporty little boats. Our fleet of easy-to-use single and double Inflatable Kayaks (IKs) is constructed of the same sturdy material as our whitewater rafts, and is designed for use on white water rivers. Super stable and highly maneuverable, our yellow “banana boats” are the Mazda Miatas of paddle craft, allowing you to quickly learn how to paddle and tackle Class II and III rapids. These are made to tackle adventurous rivers with confidence and performance. Even nervous beginners soon feel comfortable in a fun IK!

You sit on top of an Inflatable Kayak, not inside like a hard shell kayak with which most people are more familiar. This eliminates any claustrophobic or “trapped” feelings many get just looking at hard shell kayaks. The openness feels more natural and allows the waves to splash you cool on a hot summer day, while the self-bailing design keeps your boat from swamping. With careful instruction from your guides, you will soon paddle through Class II and III rapids with confidence, under the watchful eyes of your vigilant "Mothership".

IKs are easy to paddle and the high maneuverability of our boats mean you can explore the whole river: get closer to the geese for a postcard photo op, glide up to ripe blackberry thickets, or pick a fun line through the rapid too narrow for the raft. Being closer to the water means even smaller riffles are a blast!

We offer the use of IKs on a variety of trips and rivers, allowing you to choose scenic floats, thrilling whitewater, and any length adventures. All necessary equipment is included, as well as instruction at the beginning of your trip. So let’s go – try something different, try something fun!

Half-Day IK Trips

Minimum Group Size: Four

Whitewater Rogue River Nugget/Powerhouse: Class IV

Oh boy! Are you an active thrill seeker with previous paddling experience? Are you looking to push your abilities and do something both challenging and exciting? Then consider attempting our premier half-day whitewater run in an IK!

Starting in calm water and then slowly building in intensity, this Class IV classic is the perfect step up for paddlers and river enthusiasts who have experienced good whitewater and want more. Floating along side your guide, the first half of the journey is used to review and hone your skills. Your competence in the Class II & III rapids, along with playtime in a couple of great surf waves and pop-up holes will help your guide assess your strengths and weaknesses, readying you for the chomping maw of Nugget Falls and the rock garden chute of Mugger’s Alley. Success is not guaranteed; adrenalin-fueled excitement is.

This trip is not for everyone. Potential participants must be fit, active and in good health. They must have previous Class II or higher whitewater experience, and be willing to take and pass a Class V swim test. If you are not comfortable with the thought of being flushed through a 15 foot stair step waterfall, then experience Nugget from a guided raft. But if that sounds like awesome fun to you, this just might be your ticket!

Price: $75 pp
Minimum Age: 18 years
Minimum Group Size: Two
Requires previous experience and swim ability.
