Wild & Scenic Rogue River trips
3 days/2 nights Camping & Lodge trips

Are you looking for a wild and wonderful place to experience nature in all its glory? Not sure such places still really exist? Look no further - Oregon's Rogue River Canyon is one of the most beautiful and remote places on earth. Wildlife abounds - from otter to bear, eagles to deer. We float 34 miles in three days, yet time seems to literally stand still.

The whitewater rapids that we challenge in rafts and inflatable kayaks are primarily (Class 3) and smaller. One non-navigable (Class 6) rapid called Rainey Falls we portage around, but it's a great place for family photos, using it as a back drop!

There are many opportunities for hiking, swimming, sunning, water fights and quiet reflection, as well. Come share our little corner of heaven with us - you'll never want to leave!

One option for this trip is the camp option. Our "downriver" style allows for more flexibility of where you stop and camp. You can expect tasty riverside meals with an emphasis on grilling and Dutch oven wizardry; quality backpack style tent, bag, and pad sleeping gear; using a basic "groover" rafting toilet in the woods; and feeling completely removed from civilization. Fall asleep under a blanket of stars, listening to the river and the breeze in the trees.

We can also stay in cozy lodges at night (based upon availability, please book early). You will be assigned a cabin or room. Rooms are generally double occupancy, but some rooms can accommodate up to five people. The cabins or rooms generally each have two twin beds (the lodges were originally designed for fishermen, thus the twin beds) with separate, private bathrooms with shower. Very nice, although perhaps a little rustic.

Imagine challenging the river all day - enjoying the sunshine and scenery, swimming and paddling; but then being able to enjoy a great meal, a shower and falling blissfully asleep in a comfy bed, listening to the river. It doesn't get better than this!

Mornings you will awake to a country breakfast and off you go for another exciting day on the river with your wonderful guides.

Rogue River lodges are unique in many ways. Rustic but friendly, these lodges provide a wonderful haven for our guests each summer. They are located right off the river's edge on the wilderness section of southern Oregon's Rogue River.

Recreational Section trips
Day trips & 2 day/1 night Camping & Lodge trips

These trips incorporate the "Recreation" section of the Wild & Scenic Rogue River - 12 to 16 miles of mild and fun rapids from the confluence of the Applegate River near Merlin, OR, to Graves Creek - a perfect introduction to the Rogue. This is a wonderful scenic float trip with long calm water drifts and a happy mixture of some Class II rapids to keep it exciting. Wildlife abounds and there's lots of time for sunning and swimming, water fights and photo opportunities. As you float down the river you will encounter an abundance of wildlife: eagles, osprey, great blue herons, turtles, deer, river otters, even an occasional black bear. Our guides are well versed in local history, as well as the wildlife that surrounds you, making for an informative adventure for all. On all trips you can choose to relax on the raft or try the challenge of our inflatable kayaks.

We end the first day of our Rogue River rafting adventure at the historic Morrison's Rogue River Lodge. This Southern Oregon rafting and fishing resort is located 16 miles west of Grants Pass on a peaceful bend in the Rogue River. Morrison's Lodge has 9 river view cottages with fireplaces, private decks and covered parking, and 4 rooms in the main lodge. All accommodations have private baths, air conditioning, TV and phones. You can sit by the river's edge, bask in the sun on our own private beach, or go hiking and bike riding on nearby trails.

There is also:
Heated Swimming
Pool Basketball Court
Volleyball
Tennis Court
Putting Green
Air Conditioner
Five Acres of River front lawn (for walks, croquet, or football)

Summer accommodations are tailored to fit summer activities and include a 4-course gourmet dinner and full country breakfast each day. Dinners in the summer months are served outside on the lodge deck, overlooking a breathtaking view of the Rogue River. Morrison's is well known for its blend of country style and gourmet cuisine with traditional family-style service. Fresh local ingredients that are in season and used, and everything is made from scratch in the kitchen. There is a full bar available and a wine list that features many classic California and imported wines as well as a nice selection from the Northwest. (The Columbia Valley is one of the newest favorite finds of world-wide wine buffs.)

After a hearty breakfast, we get underway once again to enjoy another day of floating and fun on the scenic Rogue River. After a gourmet deli lunch, we'll enjoy a few more hours of bliss on the river and then we'll meet up with the Rogue Klamath River Adventures van to shuttle you back to your vehicle.

As we carry all our gear with us on the rafts, we will provide you with a suggested packing list to ensure adequate room for everyone's belongings and camp gear.

NOTE: We provide everything necessary to make this trip an adventure of a lifetime for you and your family. In colder weather that includes splash jackets, fleeces, neoprene booties, and wetsuits. We will also do our very best to accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have. Since the lodges run on generators, they ask that you not bring hair dryers on your trip. We're close to Oregon's Medford airport and will gladly pick you up there or at any hotel in the Ashland/Medford, Grant's Pass or Galice area on launch day and escort you to the river. We'll then deliver you back to your car/hotel/flight at the end of our time together.

You know what trip you have always dreamed of.
